Cheerleading

Cheerleader eligibility requirements and election processes will be governed by uniform district regulations and guidelines:

*MISD Junior High Cheer Constitution

MISD Rankone parent portal instructions (online paperwork link)

* Any student who would like to tryout and participate in a sport or cheerleading MUST complete all of the RankOne paperwork prior to trying out or participating.  (A student is NOT ALLOWED to tryout unless they have completed all requirements.

Athletic Trainers and Coaches will have documentation of this being completed.

** For Spring Cheer tryouts: current 6th grade students will not be in the RankOne system.  Current 6th graders who live in Alamo's attendance zone and want to try out for Alamo's 7th grade cheer team: Please fill out this Google form so that we can set up your RankOne account.  Once we set up your account, you will be able to fill out the required RankOne forms. (This google form is only for current 6th graders; current 7th graders should already be in the RankOne system.)

*** Parents are required to upload the physical into RankOne.

CHEER PHYSICAL INFORMATION FOR SPRING 2025 TRYOUTS:

You must print and take the 2026-2027 MISD UIL Physical and Medical History Form to your Provider when getting a physical.                (Paperwork must have the "2026-2027" watermark, not 2025-2026.)

You will then turn this form into your RankOne portal.

MISD does have a policy on student travel.  These student trip change forms must be signed and submitted to the Coach prior to the event (campus deadlines apply).

Students who participate in school-sponsored trips shall be required to use transportation provided by the District to and from the event. Exception may be made only if the student’s parent makes a written request that the student be released to the parent or to another
adult designated by the parent. The District shall not be liable for any injuries that occur to students riding in vehicles that are not provided by the school.

Effective beginning with Junior High Basketball:

Midland ISD is excited to announce a transition to cashless tickets at all MISD hosted Junior High athletic events in order to improve efficiency.

• Fans may purchase "Individual Game Tickets" for a specific event on a day, or “Junior High Flex Passes” that will be accepted at any MISD Junior High hosted athletic event (Abell, Alamo, Goddard, San Jacinto or YWLA).

• ECISD remains cash only, and these MISD Flex Passes will not be accepted at ECISD hosted events.

• If you purchase a "Flex Pass", it will be good for the remaining 25-26 events: MISD junior high basketball, MISD junior high track meets, and MISD junior high soccer. 

If you have lost or damaged uniforms, practice gear or equipment and need to pay for these items, click here.

Find your school and item(s) you are required to pay for.  Then, you will need to email your receipt to your athlete's coach for their records.
